RunMat Runtime is the free, open-source runtime for MATLAB-syntax execution, GPU acceleration, plotting, and CLI workflows. The browser sandbox and desktop app are free ways to use the runtime. RunMat App adds cloud storage, project sharing, version history, and AI model use within RunMat desktop. RunMat Enterprise is App deployed on your own infrastructure for air-gapped or compliance-sensitive environments.
Is RunMat really free?⌄
Yes. RunMat Runtime is open source. The browser sandbox is free to use, and you can download the desktop app. RunMat App has a free tier with unlimited projects and 100 MB storage. Pro ($30/mo per user) and Team ($100/mo per user) are paid; RunMat Enterprise is custom pricing.
Do I need an account to use RunMat?⌄
No. The runtime, CLI, and browser sandbox work without an account. An account is only required for RunMat App features like cloud storage, project sharing, version history, and AI model use within RunMat desktop.
What's included in App free vs Pro vs Team?⌄
Free: unlimited projects, 100 MB storage, and version history that counts toward storage. Pro: unlimited projects, 10 GB storage, version history, collaboration, and $10/mo AI credits ($30/mo per user). Team: everything in Pro plus SSO / SAML / SCIM, 100 GB storage, $50/mo AI credits, and priority support ($100/mo per user).
How does RunMat App billing work?⌄
Pro and Team are monthly subscriptions billed per user (per seat). You can upgrade or change plan from your account. Need more storage? Add space from your account settings.
When do I need RunMat Enterprise instead of App?⌄
Choose Enterprise when you need on-prem or air-gapped deployment, strict data residency, or SSO and audit compliance that must stay in your environment.
