What can I use for free?⌄
RunMat Runtime, the CLI, the browser sandbox, and the desktop app are free. Free projects are private temporary sandboxes: good for trying code and running math, but not for persistent project storage.
Do I need an account?⌄
No. You can use the runtime, CLI, and browser sandbox without signing in. Creating an account starts a 14-day Pro trial so you can try persistence, sharing, version history, and RunMat Agent.
What does Pro add?⌄
Pro adds persistent private projects, desktop local-folder projects, server-backed project storage, version history, persistent project sharing and collaboration, standard support, and monthly RunMat Agent credits.
What happens when my Pro trial ends?⌄
You can keep using RunMat Free. Pro-only project editing and persistence require an active Pro subscription; existing persistent projects remain available to open, but writes require Pro.
Can I use the desktop app for free?⌄
Yes. The desktop app is free for sandbox use after signing in. Persistent local-folder projects in the desktop app are a Pro feature.
How do LLM credits work?⌄
RunMat Agent uses credits for AI model calls. A focused question or small code fix uses around 1 credit; tasks that inspect files, run code, and apply changes typically use 1–2. Usage varies with project context and the number of tool calls required. Pro includes 100 credits per member each month, with more available. Credits are only required for LLM usage.
Can I share projects or make them public?⌄
Public sandbox links are available for free. Sharing persistent projects privately with an organization requires Pro.
When do I need Enterprise?⌄
Choose Enterprise for SSO/SAML/SCIM, audit and compliance needs, dedicated support, private or air-gapped deployments, custom storage backends, or bring-your-own model provider setups.
