fea.trends — Summarize recent persisted FEA runs.

fea.trends(Name, Value, ...) returns a fea.Trends summary over a bounded recent-run window.

Syntax

trends = fea.trends(Name, Value, ...)

Inputs

NameTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
Name, ValueAnyVariadic—Optional positive integer WindowSize.

Returns

NameTypeDescription
resultAnyFEA object or operation result.

Errors

IdentifierWhenMessage
RunMat:fea:LoadFailedA .fea document cannot be read, parsed, or resolved.fea: failed to load FEA document
RunMat:fea:InvalidInputA builtin receives an unsupported argument pattern or object type.fea: invalid input
RunMat:fea:OperationFailedA validation, planning, run, result-query, comparison, or trend operation fails.fea: operation failed
RunMat:fea:InternalAn FEA object or operation result cannot be converted to a RunMat value.fea: internal error

How fea.trends works

  • WindowSize is the only option and defaults to 16.
  • Window size must be a positive exact structural scalar. All eight integer classes and ordinary integral doubles are accepted exactly; zero, negative, fractional, nonfinite, out-of-range, nonscalar, and resident values reject before artifact-store access.
  • Window size and returned run/count metadata remain exact typed integers. Timing, rate, ratio, and aggregate measurement fields remain binary64.
  • The query is host-side, performs no provider execution, and does not require native OCCT.

Example

Summarize the latest 32 runs

trends = fea.trends("WindowSize", uint32(32));

Using fea.trends with coding agents

Open a RunMat example with live inputs, then ask the agent to explain how fea.trends changes the result.

Run a small fea.trends example, explain the result, then change one input and compare the output.

FAQ

Is zero an unlimited window?⌄

No. WindowSize must be positive; omit it to use the default of 16.
