isordinal — Return true for ordinal categorical objects.

isordinal(A) returns true when A is a categorical object whose Ordinal metadata flag is true.

How isordinal works

  • Ordinal categorical objects created by ordinal or categorical(..., 'Ordinal', true) return true.
  • Nominal categorical objects and non-categorical values return false.
