analyzeNetwork — Analyze network metadata without launching MATLAB's UI analyzer.

analyzeNetwork(networkOrLayers) returns a RunMat analysis object with layer count and layer names.

Syntax

analysis = analyzeNetwork(networkOrLayers)

How analyzeNetwork works

  • Accepts a layer graph, layer object, cell array of layers, or object list.
  • Returns host metadata instead of opening an interactive analyzer UI.

GPU memory and residency

Network analysis reads host metadata and has no provider kernel.

Example

Analyze Layers

analysis = analyzeNetwork({featureInputLayer(4), reluLayer})

Expected output:

`analysis.NumLayers` reports the number of layers.

Using analyzeNetwork with coding agents

Open a RunMat example with live inputs, then ask the agent to explain how analyzeNetwork changes the result.

Run a small analyzeNetwork example, explain the result, then change one input and compare the output.
