missing — Create missing string scalars or arrays.

missing creates string arrays filled with RunMat's canonical MATLAB missing string sentinel, <missing>.

How missing works

  • missing returns a 1-by-1 missing string scalar.
  • missing(n) returns an n-by-n missing string array.
  • missing(m, n, ...) and missing(sz) accept nonnegative integer size arguments.
  • The result uses StringArray storage and displays each element as <missing>.
