rmmissing — Remove missing elements, rows, or columns.

rmmissing(A) removes entries containing missing values. For matrices and tables it removes rows by default; passing dimension 2 removes columns.

How rmmissing works

  • Vectors remove individual missing elements while preserving row or column orientation.
  • Matrices remove rows by default and columns when dim is 2 or the option is "columns".
  • Tables remove rows with any missing variable entry by default, preserving variable names and row names.
  • Two-output calls return the result and a logical mask indicating removed rows, columns, or vector elements.
