How regexpPattern works
- Create a regular expression string pattern.
- Regular expression pattern objects are accepted by matches, contains, startsWith, endsWith, erase, replace, and boundary helpers.
- Integer and other numeric inputs have no semantic role and reject without conversion; this includes resident numeric handles.
