sendmail — Create an email message using MATLAB sendmail-compatible arguments.
Creates and sends a plain-text email message through a configured local transport or outbox capture path.

How sendmail works
- Accepts textual scalar, string-array, or cell-array recipients plus subject text, an optional message, and an optional attachment argument. Omitting the message sends an empty body; the current transports do not yet support attachments.
- Direct integer, numeric-array, nested integer, or resident numeric arguments are not mail text and reject before provider access or transport side effects.
- Writes RFC822-style messages to RUNMAT_SENDMAIL_OUTBOX when configured.
- On native hosts, uses RUNMAT_SENDMAIL_COMMAND or /usr/sbin/sendmail when available.
- Reports a clear error when only SMTP preferences are configured because direct TLS SMTP transport is not available in this build.
