hdf5write — Legacy alias for writing dense HDF5 datasets.

hdf5write(filename, dataset, data) is the legacy compatibility name for h5write and supports the same dense write and hyperslab selection subset.

Syntax

hdf5write(filename, dataset, data)

How hdf5write works

  • Delegates to the h5write implementation.
  • Partial writes use native HDF5 hyperslabs.
  • Sparse, complex, cell, struct, object, and handle values raise deterministic unsupported-type errors.

Example

Write a legacy HDF5 dataset

hdf5write('out.h5', '/A', A);

Using hdf5write with coding agents

Open a RunMat example with live inputs, then ask the agent to explain how hdf5write changes the result.

Run a small hdf5write example, explain the result, then change one input and compare the output.

About RunMat

RunMat is an open-source runtime that executes MATLAB-syntax code blazing on any GPU. It is licensed under the Apache 2.0 license.

  • RunMat automatically optimizes your math for GPU execution on Apple, Nvidia, and AMD hardware. No code changes needed. Simulations that took hours now take minutes.
  • Start running code in seconds. RunMat runs in the browser, on the desktop, or from the CLI. No license server, no IT ticket.
